Healthy hair
With its store of vitamin A, D, and E to essential fatty acids, this thick consistency oil is the base for many skin-care and baby products. The moisturising properties of Vitamin E helps prevent drying of the scalp. Its antioxidant property hunts for the free radicals that cause cell damage and also prevents premature graying. Vitamin A or the retinol present in peanut oil helps rejuvenation. Applying the oil fortifies the hair strands and prevents it becoming brittle. If your dream is to have healthy and lustrous hair, the vitamin D in peanut oil is the answer. The essential fatty acids include oleic acid (omega 9 fatty acid) and linoleic acid (omega 6 fatty acid). These serve as good moisturisers and prevent dry hair.

Brighter nails
Peanut oil increases blood circulation in fingernails if warmed oil is applied on the nails for 3 to 4 minutes. Massaging the nails after wiping off the oil strengthens weak and brittle nails.

Soulful eyes
Massaging the area under the eyes with peanut oil promotes the circulation and is a natural home remedy to get rid of dark circles under the eyes. You can even leave the oil on the skin overnight.

Cure all
And finally, here's a surefire treatment for dandruff. Take 8 tbsp of pure peanut oil and the juice of half a lemon, mix well and apply on the scalp. Massage gently with your fingertips so that the oil spreads uniformly. Leave it on for 30 minutes or so. Rinse your hair with a mild shampoo. Carry this out 3 to 4 times a week and be rid of dandruff.
