Mr. V.V.V. Rajendran, son of Mr. V.V. Vanniaperumal, is the founder of IDHAYAM Group which was started in 1986. Mr. V.V.V. Rajendran inherited the business acumen of his father who initiated the illustrious business of edible sesame oil in 1943 at Virudhunagar (30KM from Madurai airport). Armed with diligence, hardwork and commitment, Mr. Rajendran revamped the look and feel of sesame oil consumer packaging and established a brand name called IDHAYAM.
IDHAYAM soared to further heights with the second generation leading the group with multifold zest and vision. Under the leadership of Mr. V.R. Muthu, the IDHAYAM group was led by his brothers Mr. R. Sathyam and Mr. R. Thendral and introduced automated manufacturing and packaging which in turn led to improved local and international sales.
